About the Author
Jennifer Arnold is the founder and executive director of Canine Assistants, a service-dog school based in Milton, Georgia, and the creator of the Bond-Based Choice Teaching® approach to interspecies relationships. She is the author of the New York Times bestseller Through a Dog’s Eyes, which was also the subject of a PBS documentary, and In a Dog’s Heart. She lives with her husband, veterinarian Kent Bruner; son Chase; four dogs; two cats; and a number of other animals.
Canine Assistants is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing service dogs for children and adults who have physical disabilities, epilepsy, or other special needs. Canine Assistants does not charge for the service it provides; rather, it relies on the generosity of those who recognize that helping one benefits us all.

As a service dog trainer, I found this to be an immensely helpful and insightful book! Our dogs have such a propensity for learning, and Jennifer makes teaching them such a joyful, happy experience. I highly recommend this book if you're looking for a great way to develop a greater relationship with your dog. Bond-based is the way to go!

Jennifer's first two books were wonderful for their stories, but were lacking on the "how to" side of changing our relationships with our dogs. This book, adds the clearly described "how to" and science support to memorable stories in a package that can totally change how we think about, teach and live with our dogs. Thank you Jennifer!
