Outstanding Selection of Documents

I began using this textbook as my primary tool since the Fall of 2010 for a course in American Maritime History. The Authors selection of Historical documents combined with guide on document based learning are by far the best, if not the only book which focuses on American Maritime History. All of the other text I have found are about Global Maritime History. If you are at all interested in current US maritime policy and wish to better understand the formation of cabotage practices, cargo preference statutes, or the various factors that influence shipping cycles, this collection of documents should be included in your library. In summation, I guess I'd have to say that this set of books have few equals and no superiors.
